whooping cranes in KS?

Description

Pictures taken 11/8/09 at Cheyenne Bottoms Wildlife Area, either Pool 3B or 3A (can’t remember exactly). Judging from Michael Pearce’s blog from the Eagle, could these be the endangered Whooping Crane recently spotted in Kansas? Wish I had something bigger than our 300mm lens…
